As Requested

I had a request to put up a post (with pictures) about what Josh did this past Sunday when he actually had some time off from the exercise. Well, to those readers who requested this information, wonder no more. (And yes, if anyone else has any post requests I'll be more than happy to write about them.)

See, I'm pretty sure I've said this before, but Josh has been crazy busy at work lately, with this giant exercise going on. He leaves every morning by 6:30/7:00 and gets home anywhere from 7:00 to 8:00 at night. He's been going in on Saturdays and Sundays, and it's been going on for a few weeks now. However, this past Sunday he only had to go in for a few hours in the morning, and was able to spend the rest of the day at home with us. This came at just the right time as the day (or two) before Zeke and I had the following conversation:

Zeke: Is Daddy working?

Me: Yes, Daddy is working.

Zeke: It's too many working!

Sweet boy, it is too many working. But not Sunday. On Sunday, Josh got home just as the boys and I were pulling out of the driveway for church. While we went on our way, Josh cleaned the bathrooms and the turkey fryer and took care of some other things around the house. After the boys naptime is when the fun started.

That's right, with his time off, Josh bundled up and took the boys outside to play and to build 10 little snowmen (not all of the snowmen are pictured here - here they're only about half way through). See, the boys have been wanting to build a snowman for awhile, but I can't bring Finn out there (it's too cold!), and I can't leave him inside by himself, so it fell to Daddy to do it with his time off. He then took the boys on a little hike to the "woods" behind out house. (You know, where the moose had her babies in May.)

After they came home we had a nice, relaxing evening, having leftovers for dinner, watching a movie, and just hanging out. It was just what we all needed to get us through the next week and a half (from Sunday) that he'll be keeping those hours.

I've been at work for at least an hour sometimes more by then Babe!

Your sleepy eyes must be misreading the alarm :)

I'm not complaining though, working with the Indian Army has been a great experience.

Sure babe.

You've been at work for at least an hour by then, except for all the mornings you don't get out of bed until 6 because you hit snooze 18 times. ;)

Wow! Enough snow already for snowmen? We had some sleet the other day. Not enough for snowmen, though.
