Easy Peasy

We decided that with this weekend being a four day for Josh that we would put together Zeke's toddler bed and see how it went trying to get him to sleep in it. Our thought was that if it went rough (which we were kind of expecting although I'm not sure why since Zeke is pretty easy going and seems to adapt to changes really well) and we didn't get sleep most nights at least there would be two of us here to take care of the boys and swap our own nap times. However, as the title of this blog says, it was so easy. We put the bed together Friday afternoon, and rearranged the bedroom, then put Zeke down for his afternoon nap in his new bed. He didn't cry or freak out, but he didn't sleep either. So we put him in his crib again Friday night figuring he needed sleep more than he needed to be in his new bed. But Saturday he did little dances of joy right next to his bed before each nap time and slept (for at least a little bit) each nap and slept all night. Just like that. Of course, now we look at him sleeping in his "big boy bed" and get just a little sad that he really is such a big boy. I can't help but wonder now if Deacon will do as nicely or if since Zeke adjusted to quickly and so well that Deacon is just going to be a terror about it. Not that I can see him being a terror about anything, but this really was a little TOO easy, if you know what I mean. Now we just need to figure out when to start putting Deacon in the crib at night...

Jeff was reading this over my shoulder and said "Zeke's bed looks like a cage!" I replied "Those are siderails; if he's anything like his father he needs them to make sure he doesn't spend the night on the floor." And then I had a good chuckle.

Swwet boy; he is so beautiful.

I'm so jealous! Finally Wes is staying in bed and sleeping - after only a month and a half. Things were going well, until I had Megan and it all changed again but we're back on track. The boys look adorable - so glad all is well!
