Well, That Didn't Take Long

Here we are. It's Saturday morning. About five minutes after I woke up, I looked out the window and saw this...

That's right. Trees. No, it was snowing. SNOWING!! That's what the white dots reflecting the flash from the camera are. Snowflakes. Sigh. I think it has stopped...for now. Here's a slightly better picture of the snow. Play close attention to the grill...

Sigh. I just wanted to share that with you guys. Now I'm going to have a warm mug of tea and try to convince myself it was just a fluke and not the new norm.

Oh I am jealous. As a girl who grew up in Canada being stationed in GA is a bit hard to take.

We had snow on Tuesday last week, but that was weird. Are you looking forward to winter? Can't wait to hear your accounting of the Alaskan days.

:(!!! Sigh. Maybe there's a bright side? Lots of snowmen for the boys to build? Lots of hot cocoa? Umm...yeah. I don't know. I love you!

As I type this, my children are running naked in our backyard. I can't decide whether Alaska would be good for us (they'd be respectably clothed) or not (they do love playing in the wading pool)...

Here's hoping you all love, love, love snow! (Or come to visit the Golbys and Starlings in sunny California.)

If it makes you feel any better - it was 92 here today and we sweated buckets at Wes's soccer game:) I would love to see some snow!

It's a new adventure! I know many people who have loved AK! I hope you guys can enjoy your stay too. We were just thinking today maybe David should have got a job somewhere a little more green....Boise is great ...however it's hot and dry!

I can't believe I'm about to say this but.....I totally miss having seasons!!! Monterey is 60 year round and for how nice it is not to shovel snow or worry about winter jackets for the kiddos....I miss having a winter! :-(
