Hello Ladies!

All I can say is that the shirts don't lie.

Love, Deacon

************

Oh, and it's been brought to my attention that I failed to put what the last movie I watched was. That's probably because I couldn't remember. So I think the last movie I saw was "The Prestige". I'm fairly certain I saw something after that, but I have no idea what, so that's what we're going with. And I fully enjoyed it!

Thanks Marie!

I've been tagged by Marie. Since I absolutely love Marie, and by the way Muh-wee, I saw Ray and Ginnie over Christmas and they say "Hello!", I'm going to do it. So here we go...

1. Were you named after anyone? My middle name, Anne, is after my great grandmother Morel. As for Beth, I think we'll leave that one alone.
2. When was the last time you cried? The other day after watching three super sad episodes of X-Files in a row. Who puts three sad episodes of any show in a row?!? Geez people.
3. Do you like your handwriting? Yeah, I think it's neat.
4. What is your favourite lunch meat? Does peanut butter count? It is part of the meat family.
5. Do you have kids? Do I have kids? I sure do!
6. If you were another person would you be friends with you? I would seriously have to review my life if I wouldn't.
7. Do you use sarcasm a lot? Um...
8. Do you still have your tonsils? Yes
9. Would you bungee jump? I still can't make up my mind. I think about how unsafe it is, but then I think about how much fun it looks too.
10. What is your favourite cereal? Are we British? What's with the "u" in favorite? But I think I'd have to say Honey Nut Cheerios.
11. Do you untie your shoes when you take them off? My shoes don't have laces :)
12. Do you think you are strong? Only by the grace of God (I'm totally using Marie's answer)
13. What is your favourite ice cream? Triple Chocolate oh YEAH!
14. What is the first thing you notice about people? If they seem to have a sense of humor or not.
15. Red or pink? Red
16. What is the thing that you like least about yourself? How little God comes up in my conversations and blogs and emails when He is the single most important person and driving force in my life.
17. Who do you miss the most? This is a hard one...I miss you all, but it's constantly changing as to who I miss the most. Last night I was really missing the Carpenters. Right now, I'm missing Muh-wee.
Where's 18?
19. What color pants and shoes are you wearing? Red pajama pants and black socks
20. Have you ever re-gifted? More than I should probably admit
.21. What are you listening to right now? "Big Girl (You Are Beautiful) by MIKA. This song cracks me up! I mean, with lines like, "A watering hole where the girls are round and curves in all the right places" how can you go wrong?

23. Favorite smells? camp early in the morning, coffee, crayons
24. Who was the last person you talked to on the phone? my hubby

Easy Peasy

We decided that with this weekend being a four day for Josh that we would put together Zeke's toddler bed and see how it went trying to get him to sleep in it. Our thought was that if it went rough (which we were kind of expecting although I'm not sure why since Zeke is pretty easy going and seems to adapt to changes really well) and we didn't get sleep most nights at least there would be two of us here to take care of the boys and swap our own nap times. However, as the title of this blog says, it was so easy. We put the bed together Friday afternoon, and rearranged the bedroom, then put Zeke down for his afternoon nap in his new bed. He didn't cry or freak out, but he didn't sleep either. So we put him in his crib again Friday night figuring he needed sleep more than he needed to be in his new bed. But Saturday he did little dances of joy right next to his bed before each nap time and slept (for at least a little bit) each nap and slept all night. Just like that. Of course, now we look at him sleeping in his "big boy bed" and get just a little sad that he really is such a big boy. I can't help but wonder now if Deacon will do as nicely or if since Zeke adjusted to quickly and so well that Deacon is just going to be a terror about it. Not that I can see him being a terror about anything, but this really was a little TOO easy, if you know what I mean. Now we just need to figure out when to start putting Deacon in the crib at night...

Conjunctivitis: fun to say...

...not necessarily to have.

Having "pink eye" did not, however, prevent his second tooth from coming in yesterday, nor has it slowed down his appetite any (as you can see from the following picture).

We also didn't let it stop us from going outside in the sun and warmth yesterday and enjoy a little bit of our afternoon in the yard.

At least he's still happy. Except when he's hungry. But even with the "itis" he's still sweet.

Welcome Sweet Girl

Some friends of ours here, Chris and Brandy Simmons, had a baby girl yesterday! Her name is Kyla Rose, and we went to visit her today after chapel. Oh, she is so sweet and tiny. While holding her I kept saying how neither of my boys were ever that tiny. Everyone is doing well, and we are just so excited, I had to put this out here for those of you who might know Brandy (Joni, Heather). Anyhoo...here are the stats: born at 3:40 a.m. weighing 3520 grams (about 7 1/2 pounds), and measuring 52 cm long (about 20 1/2 inches). Here are some pictures too...

This is Kyla (as held by Josh).

This is Chris, the proud papa.
And here is Brandy, looking great already.

Congratulations guys! We love you!
