He Has His Father's "Jeans"

The handsome lad pictured here...

is SO his father's child, and I am afraid I will have the same issues with clothing that Josh's mom had with Josh. Here's the thing - Zeke is so tall that he has to wear 4T sized pants so they cover all of his legs. Not a big deal in and of itself. HOWEVER, Zeke is so skinny that the 4T pants he wears have a hard time staying up around his waist. I guess I'll have to learn her "elastic in the back of the pants" trick after all.

  1. Aww, Beth! I love your boys eyes!
    Too darling!
Sara's little brother and sister, Jacob and Stevie, had the same problem with jeans/pants.
You would think kids' clothes manufacturers would have caught on by now!?!?!?!?!

  2. If I had a dollar for everytime I heard, "You'll grow into it" when I was growing up; well, we could afford to have Z-man's pants tailored.

  4. Carter's, Lands End, and Gymboree all have buttons that you can pull in. Wes is in 3T for the length, but needs a 24 mo waist! Gymboree runs big (and is only a grandparent buy for me because I think it is too expensive) but it lasts. Carters you can move in 4-5 button holes on each side.

  5. Kelly's right. Lil is in 24m that are snugged up at the sides. :) Go Carters and Lands End!

  6. I think Monica buys Target jeans for Lila because they have tapes in the side that function like drawstrings.

    Zeke is a handsome boy!

  7. It's true--Target sells jeans that are very long (Lila has the exact trouble Zeke does)and have an elastic band that can be tightened using its buttonholes like holes in a belt. Lots of other brands have them, too, but Target rocks my socks. Hooray for our tall, skinny kids!

Incidently, Everett so far does NOT have any problems like this. He's tall, but his pants stay up. ;^D
